Keeping It Lean
The problem with giant market leaders is they can't change, can't update their technology as regularly as they should to best serve the client. Think of it this way: it takes an aircraft carrier fifty miles to turn around!
But being the size it is, our shop is able to utilize a process known as "Lean-Manufacturing" — a cutting-edge technology which very few companies can take advantage of. And that makes all the difference. See, when employees and materials are overworked, people get tired and machines break down. Lean Manufacturing creates steady workflow, enabling our production facility to maintain a constant workflow without becoming over-booked. This way, we consistently achieve a level of quality in our products and service that is unparalleled in the industry.
Obviously, this gives KBW a meaningful advantage in the marketplace. With business costs on the rise, our innovative strategies for moving materials enable us to offer the same goods larger companies sell, but at significantly lower prices than our competitors.
To build the best cabinets, you need the best materials.
Knowing what to buy is just as important as knowing how to handle it when it arrives. By purchasing our materials from many sources, we force our vendors to compete against each other to supply KBW with the finest materials and supplies available.
Finishing is only half the job.
We use only Valspar finishing products: an industry leader since 1896. The Valspar line is designed to be applied by spraying to provide a beautiful, flawless surface. Nevertheless, we work closely with Valspar's technicians to insure we're maximizing their products' performance. If a hand-painted surface is what you desire, KBWC will provide you with a silky smooth primer surface: spray-primed, twice-sanded between coats, and wiped smooth for your site painters to paint whatever color you choose. If you prefer a spray-painted finish, KBWC will match our Valspar finishes to your paint chip or color sample. Ultimately, however, every finish is only as good as the primer or sealer it's bonded to — that's why each job is 95% preparation.
Installation is all about you.
We always keep the client and contractor well-informed of our plans, every step of the way. Together, we set an installation date that works for you, and we commit ourselves to it. We take our schedule very seriously. After all, it's our reputation on the line. We call before we come and clean the job site when we leave — leaving not so much as a fingerprint behind. Moldings (crown, baseboard, trim) are masterfully installed by our own crew and special care is taken to insure your home and premises remain undamaged during the entry of your millwork.
How can KBWC promise this level of service? Because Jeff Blaisdell oversees every install. That's right, the principle of the company is so committed to the quality of his product that he heads the installation crew himself. He understands that installation is the single most important facet of a job, and strives to make it an experience you'll remember fondly.
