History
Kidder Blaisdell Woodworks Corp. first began in 1996 as a family business under the name Blaisdell Builders. A year later, it became a sole proprietorship when Jeff took over the business. In the fall of '98, KBW was born — in Winchester, Massachusetts by Jeffrey Blaisdell, who remains its current owner.

Jeff K. Blaisdell has been immersed in the process of cabinet-making for, literally, his entire life. In high school, he first learned the ins and outs of the business while hand-carving signs for a wood shop. His first exposure to high-end mill work came at age 18, when Jeff relocated to Washington D.C. and specialized in residential construction, building off-site construction templates. These days, he focuses his craft on traditional cabinet design, contemporary cabinet design, cabinet layout and engineering,

In college, Jeff studied Construction Management worked part-time at a glass shop, and operated his own furniture shop, building bookcases, bakers' racks, and TV cabinets. But Jeff's career began the day he was old enough to hold a hammer, working with his father, himself a gifted woodworker. Jeff's first memories, in fact, are of his dad's wood shop, just below his bedroom. There was a small hole in the floor that Jeff would stick his child-sized head through to watch the men work.

Though Jeff makes it a personal point for KBW to always keep up on what is state of the art in machinery, materials, and techniques, to this day, he takes great pride in knowing he can still call upon his father for sage guidance and sound advice.
